Blu-ray Review: ‘Hannibal’ is Best Drama on Network TV
Submitted by BrianTT on September 27, 2013 - 9:02amCHICAGO – Has there ever been a network TV show more cinematic than “Hannibal”? Especially when one watches it commercial-free in “binge” format on the newly-released Blu-ray, one can even more distinctly appreciate the fact that the first season of Bryan Fuller’s incredible show, the best on network TV, plays like long film. Scratch that.
TV Review: NBC’s ‘Hannibal’ is Smart, Creepy, Adult Thriller
Submitted by BrianTT on April 4, 2013 - 10:14amCHICAGO – NBC’s “Hannibal” is the best new network drama of the 2012-13 season. It’s a smart, creepy, atmospheric piece of work that perfectly gets the Thomas Harris universe that gave us one of the most memorable villains of all time.

Blu-Ray Review: HBO’s ‘The Pacific’ Stands as One of TV’s Best Mini-Series
Submitted by BrianTT on November 4, 2010 - 1:28pmCHICAGO – HBO’s “Band of Brothers” has been an annual bestseller around the holiday season, first on DVD and now on Blu-ray, and it seems virtually impossible that their equally-notable “The Pacific,” now on Blu-ray and DVD, would not follow it up the charts and turn out to be one of the most-given HD gifts of the upcoming season.
TV Review: Everyone Should Watch Masterful ‘The Pacific’
Submitted by BrianTT on March 14, 2010 - 10:16amCHICAGO – I must admit to some trepidation about HBO’s WWII mini-series “The Pacific” from producers Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg, debuting tonight, March 14th, 2010 at 8pm CST. Why? Because “Band of Brothers” is the best mini-series of all time and it’s difficult for anyone to pitch a perfect game two starts in a row. I knew it would be good, but doubted it would be great. I was wrong. It’s spectacular.
