That usually takes much longer, if it ever comes. “Saw III,” “Friday the 13th, Part III,” “Halloween III” — none of these movies come close to the original. Which is why it’s so remarkable to report that “Paranormal Activity 3” comes surprisingly close to the quality of the first film, arguably surpassing it.
