Film Review: ’Sonic the Hedgehog’ is Fast & Furry But Not Funny
Submitted by PatrickMcD on February 14, 2020 - 11:43amCHICAGO – It may be damning with faint praise, but I can assure you that “Sonic the Hedgehog” is no longer the stuff of nightmares. The-Island-of-Dr-Moreau-like creation which seemed half human and half hedgehog in the film’s first trailer, has been replaced by something more akin to the Sonic we know from video games and cartoons. He’s cute. He’s fast. But he’s not particularly funny.
Video Game Review: ‘Sonic Generations’ Speeds Past Some Significant Flaws
Submitted by BrianTT on December 20, 2011 - 12:09pmCHICAGO – Like a lot of video game critics my age, the original Sega Genesis “Sonic the Hedgehog” games hold a special place in my heart and my gaming history. Nearly as much as the adventures of Mario and Link, the time I spent with that speedy blue hedgehog impacted the way I would judge games like it forever. I was woefully addicted to “Sonic the Hedgehog 2.”
Video Game Review: ‘The Conduit 2’ Disappoints With More of the Same
Submitted by BrianTT on May 23, 2011 - 11:36amCHICAGO – Two years ago when “The Conduit” was released for the Nintendo Wii, I wrote a review that claimed that it would “open the door for more shooters” for the console that never seemed too adept at releasing them. Sadly, development for the Nintendo Wii actually seemed to go in the other direction, as the machine seems now to be in that tragic phase when it’s being essentially ignored in favor of the next system (which Nintendo will reportedly announce at E3).

Video Game Review: ‘The Conduit’ Blasts Open Door For More Wii Shooters
Submitted by BrianTT on July 22, 2009 - 12:02pmCHICAGO – “The Conduit” is something old and something new. It is a very old-fashioned shooter that will remind an entire generation of college years spent wasted on titles like “Doom 2” and “Wolfenstein,” but it is a unique title for the typically family-driven Nintendo Wii.
Video Game Review: Excellent, Violent ‘MadWorld’ Rare Adults-Only Game For Nintendo Wii
Submitted by BrianTT on April 6, 2009 - 8:22amCHICAGO – The gleefully violent, insanely fun, over-the-top chaos of “MadWorld” could change your impressions of the Wii for all time.
