CHICAGO – Women in Film Chicago is one of the greatest Midwest advocates for women filmmakers. Every year, they present “Focus Awards” to honor notable female breakthroughs in the film and television business. Last October, they awarded their 2013 Focus Awards to Ky Dickens, Katy Mindeman and Lisa Wiegand.

CHICAGO – One of the best organizations in the local arts community is Women in Film Chicago. Known for their networking events, they will be highlighting three filmmakers on Monday, March 19th. The “Emerging Talent: Females in Focus” program features the short films “Fitting” (Grace McPhillips), “Off Into Space” (Anna Jung) and “Wednesday’s Child,” produced by Mary Kay Cook.

CHICAGO – Women in Film Chicago held their Focus Awards on October 14th, 2010, at the Chicago Mart Plaza, honoring three outstanding women in the media. Hollywood legend Raquel Welch, local Chicago TV icon Merri Dee and television producer Jamie Ceaser basked in the acclaim at the event.
