A popular holiday tradition entertaining hundreds of children and families each year is back once again this Christmas season at Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace. The presentation of the timeless classic A Christmas Carol opens November 20 and runs through December 20 at 100 Drury Lane, Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, 60181. In addition to a performance from a cast of top Chicago actors, Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace offers families the special opportunity to have breakfast or dinner with Santa Claus on select performance dates. Featuring a festive buffet style menu complete with holiday favorites, these events are a wonderful way to introduce children to the arts.

A Christmas Carol tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, the miserly old man, who receives a Christmas Eve visit from the ghost of his partner, Jacob Marley, warning him to mend his selfish ways. During the night three spirits appear before Scrooge, showing him visions of Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Future, finally revealing the possible results of his unloving, uncaring life. He promises to change as he’s not the man he was. This all time favorite play with music is a holiday treat for the whole family.

Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace’s family-friendly menu will include breakfast favorites such as “Santa’s Scrambled Eggs”, “Frosty’s French Toast Sticks”, “Tiny Tim’s Tater Tots” and “Blitzen’s Bacon”. The dinner menu features fun items including “Tiny Tim’s Teeny Fettuccine”, “Dickens Chicken”, “The Christmas Ghost Roast” and more.

The dinner buffet is offered on Wednesdays, December 10 and 17 at 5 p.m., with the performance at 7:30 p.m. The dinner package price for adults is $26 and $17.95 for children under 12. A breakfast buffet is offered on Saturdays, November 29, December 6 and December 20 at 11:30 a.m., with the performance at 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. The breakfast buffet package price for adults is $19.00 and $17.00 for children under 12.
