“The Prom” is a musical adapted from the New York stage about a group of Broadway actors (portrayed by James Corden, Nicole Kidman, Andrew Ran-Nells and Meryl Streep) who invade a small Indiana town after they hear the local school won’t put on their prom if they have to include a lesbian couple, petitioned by one half of that couple named Emma (Jo Ellen Pellman). Her Principal Tom (Keegan-Michael Key) is on her side, but the head of the PTA (Kerry Washington) is not on board.
