CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com appears on “The Morning Mess” with Scott Thompson on WBGR-FM (Monroe, Wisconsin) on December 10th, 2020, reviewing the new film “The Prom,” streaming on Netflix starting December 11th.
“The Prom” is a musical adapted from the New York stage about a group of Broadway actors (portrayed by James Corden, Nicole Kidman, Andrew Ran-Nells and Meryl Streep) who invade a small Indiana town after they hear the local school won’t put on their prom if they have to include a lesbian couple, petitioned by one half of that couple named Emma (Jo Ellen Pellman). Her Principal Tom (Keegan-Michael Key) is on her side, but the head of the PTA (Kerry Washington) is not on board.
