CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com appears on “The Morning Mess” with Dan Baker on WBGR-FM (Monroe, Wisconsin) on February 4th, 2021, reviewing the new film “Malcolm & Marie,” streaming on Netflix beginning February 5th, 2021.

“Malcolm & Marie” is a two person film about movie director Malcolm (John David Washington) and his girlfriend and partner Marie (the singer/actor Zendaya). They are coming home to their ritzy, high-end house rental in Los Angeles after Malcolm’s latest film scored a spectacular buzz on opening night. However the inspiration for that film is Marie, as she had a serious drug problem as a 20 year old, which Malcolm helped her through. Malcolm forgets to thank her at the premiere, and that sets off a real time argument that lasts through the wee hours.
