CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com appears on “The Morning Mess” with Dan Baker on WBGR-FM (Monroe, Wisconsin) on April 29th, 2021, reviewing the new film “The Mitchells vs. The Machines” streaming on Netflix beginning April 30th.

Katie (voice of Abbi Jacobson) is an oddball teenage filmmaker headed to her dream college across the country in California. She and her father (Danny McBride) are not getting along, and have completely opposite interests. To bond, her family decides to drive her to school, and on the way a Machine Apocalypse occurs. It turns out a tech genius (Eric André) has replaced his phone pal app (voice of Olivia Coleman) with real robots, and they immediately go rogue. It’s up to the Mitchell family, including Mom (Maya Rudolph) to save the world.
