Two middle aged couples, one being Richard (Reed Birney) and Linda (Ann Dowd) and the other being Jay (Jason Isaacs) and Gail (Martha Plimpton), congregate in a meeting room in an Episcopalian Church. They are there to mediate as therapy, as Richard and Linda’s son killed Jay and Gail’s son in a school shooting. The meeting takes place in real time, as the couples confront each other.
