CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com appears on “The Morning Mess” with Scott Thompson on WBGR-FM (Monroe, Wisconsin) on January 13th, 2022, reviewing the fifth film in the franchise series, a self described “requel” of “Scream,” in theaters on January 14th.

This time its Samantha AKA Sam (Melissa Barrera) who is the centerpiece “victim” returning to Westboro – the hometown of the infamous Ghostface – to confront another series of murders, one that involves her sister Tara (Jenna Ortega), who survives the attack. To help Sam out is some retro characters from the Scream series, former Sheriff Dewey (David Arquette), reporter Gale (Courtney Cox) and Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), the original victim of Ghostface from the 1990s.
