Rating: 3.5/5.0 |
CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com appears on “The Morning Mess” with Scott Thompson on WBGR-FM (Monroe, Wisconsin) on April 21st, reviewing “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent,” in theaters April 22nd.
IN THE CAGE! In this film, Nicolas Cage portrays a version of himself, a fading movie star who can’t land the new role he desires. His tiresome obsessions has left behind an ex-wife (Sharon Horgan) and daughter (Lily Sheen), but his agent (Neil Patrick Harris) gets him an appearance gig in Spain, at a birthday party for super fan Javi (Pedro Pascal). However, Javi isn’t what he seems, and Nick is now in the middle of a crime cartel, being monitored by CIA agents Vivian (Tiffany Haddish) and Martin (Ike Barinholtz). Can he save the day, through his utter awesomeness?
