CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com appears on “The Morning Mess” with Scott Thompson on WBGR-FM (Monroe, Wisconsin) on July 7th, reviewing “Thor: Love and Thunder,” the continuing Marvel Universe adventures of the God of Thunder, opening everywhere on July 8th.
Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is back after the events of “Avengers: Endgame” and gratefully has his superhero body back. Resuming his heroics in tandem with the Guardians of the Galaxy, he gets involved with a new villain, Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who is killing the Gods in revenge for his daughter’s death. Meanwhile Thor’s old girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman finds that she is dying of cancer, but discovers if she reassembles Thor’s old hammer Mjölnir she becomes a type of god called the Mighty Thor. So the couple reconnects as superheroes, in the pursuit of Gorr.
