CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com appears on “The Morning Mess” with Scott Thompson on WBGR-FM (Monroe, Wisconsin) on September 29th, 2022, reviewing “Hocus Pocus 2,” a Disney sequel to the bewitching 1993 original, streaming on Disney+ beginning September 30th.
The magical Sanderson witch sisters return from their exile, which happened in 1993, after they were brought back from Salem, Mass, circa 1600s. Winnie (Bette Midler), Mary (Kathy Najimy) and Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker) are conjured back to modern Salem by witch-in-training Becca (Whitney Peak), but after the Winnie and her sisters threaten to destroy the town and eat Becca plus her friends – Izzy (Belissa Escobedo) and Cassie (Lilia Buckingham) – the teenagers must find a way to send their elders back to the next exile.
