CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com audio film review for “All That Breathes,” one of the five nominees for Best Documentary Feature at the upcoming 95th Oscars, directed by Shaunak Sen. On HBO and streaming on HBO Max beginning February 7th.

This story involves two brothers in New Delhi, India, who have devoted their lives to rehabilitate the city’s bird population, specifically a bird of prey species called the black kite. Amid environmental toxicity and social unrest, the birds are falling from the sky in an alarming rate, and it is only the brothers … whose early childhood interest in ornithology eventually had them open a rescue center … that stand between the birds and the civilization that has evolved to kill the sky creatures.
