CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com appears on “The Morning Mess” with Scott Thompson on WBGR-FM (Monroe, Wisconsin) on March 30th, 2023, reviewing “Tetris,” the 1980s origin of the addictive video game. Currently in theaters, since March 31st.

Taron Egerton is Hank Rogers, a game developer in the 1980s, trying to find the next big thing. He happens upon Tetris, that addictive block link game that many hours have been wasted upon. It turns out that the game was invented in old school Soviet Union Russia by Alexey Pajitnov (Nikita Efremov), and the worldwide rights are up for grabs, pursued by the American Rogers, a British financial house and Japanese Nintendo.
