CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com appears on “The Morning Mess” with Dan Baker on WBGR-FM (Monroe, Wisconsin) on November 16th, 2023, reviewing “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes,” the latest in the popular series. In theaters on November 17th, 2023.
The future president of the dystopian Land of Panem, Cornelius Snow (Tom Blyth) is called on to mentor Lucy Gray Baird (Rachel Zegler) for the 10th Hunger Games, who is a troubadour singer from District 12. She is defiant even as she begins the process, run by the infamous Hunger Game master Dr. Gaul (Viola Davis) and facilitated by the Dean of the Academy, Cas Highbottom (Peter Dinklage). Snow creates advantages for Lucy, and their teaming foreshadows other future events, even as romance is blossoming.
