CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com appears on “The Morning Mess” with Dan Baker on WBGR-FM (Monroe, Wisconsin) on November 22nd, 2023, reviewing “Wish,” the latest original film from Walt Disney Studios. In theaters on November 22nd, 2023.

The film involves the kingdom of Rosas, ruled by King Magnifico (voice of Chris Pine). Magnifico is also a sorcerer, and he figured out a way to grant all wishes to the citizens of Rosas. But to maintain his power, he hoards the wishes and grants only a couple each year. Enter 17-year-old Asha (Adriana DeBose) who is hoping to become the King’s apprentice and get a wish for her 100 year old grandfather (Victor Garber). When a suspicious King rejects her, Asha learns dark things about his lust for power … so she focuses her hope by wishing on a star … which is alive and comes down from the sky to help her.
