CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com audio film review for “Mean Girls,” a movie adaptation of the Broadway musical, which in turn was born from the 2004 comedy … with Tina Fey adapting the screenplay and also featuring Jenna Fischer, Tim Meadows and Jon Hamm. In theaters January 12th.

Yes, the “mean gals” and school life of North Shore High are on display musically, and updated from its 2004 roots to present time, as transfer student Cady (Angourie Rice) is trying to fit in, with help from outcasts Janis (Auli’i Cravalho) and Damian (Jaquel Spivey). When Cady is invited to the alpha girls lunch table, with mean leader Regina (Renée Rapp), she is about to begin a journey that makes her an insider to all the nasty tactics that the gang uses to rule their high school domain. Which attitude will Cady adopt?
