Modern M. Night Time Story: Audio Film Review of ‘Trap’
Rating: 3.5/5.0 |
CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com audio film review for “Trap,” the latest movie from the suspenseful filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan, and featuring his musician daughter Saleka in a Taylor Swift-like role as a popular singer. In theaters now, since August 2nd.
The story involves a Dad named Cooper (Josh Harnett) and his daughter Riley (Ariel Donoghue) attending Riley’s dream concert, that of singer Lady Raven (Saleka Shyamalan). A noticeably larger police presence arouses suspicion in Cooper, who is a fire fighter, and he pokes around to find out that the concert has become an elaborate ruse to trap a serial killer named The Butcher … the FBI has even brought in the top profiler in the world, the British psychologist Josephine Grant (Hayley Mills).
