CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com appears on “The Morning Mess” with Ben Thompson on WBGR-FM (Monroe, Wisconsin) on October 24th, reviewing the film “Anora,” written/directed by Sean Baker and the winner of the 2024 Palme d’or at Cannes. In theaters now and through November.

Mikey Madison as the title character Anora, a stripper at a New York City gentlemen’s club. She gets wrapped up with a billionaire Russian oligarch’s spoiled-brat son (Mark Eidelstein), who keeps paying and playing while at the same time becoming more enamored with Anora. They do a quickie marriage in Vegas, which causes fireworks for the team that are assigned to take care of son number one, including the main fixer (Karren Karagulian) and sensitve Armenian Garnick (Vache Tovmasyan). Can the marriage be annulled or will headstrong Anora rule the day?.
