UM! New Moon is going to completely suck if Taylor Lautner is replaced. I mean, think about it, All of the Twilight fanatics thought the movie was going to be stupid and were really scared about it, but it turned out okay. Partially because of Taylor Lautner! I mean, NO one else could possible play Jacob Black nearly as well as he can. And besides, People have already gotten really attatched to him and used to the idea of Taylor Lautner playing Jacob Black so changing the actor and the charachter’s face would Totally screw up this film. But I will still watch it. Even though it WILL suck without Taylor Lautner in it.

Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black

I respect whatever decision Summit makes regarding the actor who will portray Jacob Black in New Moon. It is my own opinion (and several thousand other peoples opinion worldwide) that Taylor deserves the role.
I will probably still pay to see New Moon when it comes out, even if Taylor isn’t Jacob. But I will probably always stick by my opinion that Taylor should be Jacob.

Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black in New Moon

Taylor Lautner did an amazing job of playing Jacob Black in Twilight. At the absolute least, he should be cast as pre-transformation Jacob. I doubt anyone could do a more accurate portrayal of Jacob, no matter how old or buff. Keep Taylor Lautner, or lose your fanbase.

Taylor Lautner

I understand that people visualize what they read and that the director wants to make sure that Jacob Black’s character is accurately portrayed. What you need to realize is that the die hard fans have already accepted Taylor as Jacob, everyone else that will watch the movie that has not read the book will not know that he is supposed to be bigger and they will wonder why he has been replaced as well. The director would be very wise to keep him if he wants as many people to go see New Moon.

Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black - New Moon

I think Taylor Lautner should remain as Jacob Black, if not keep him as the ‘pre transformation’ Jacob for part of the movie then mould it into the new actor.
I agree that people will still see New Moon though they might see it less than they did Twilight. Twilight remains number 1 because of the amount of times Twilighters are seeing Twilight, Summit will probably see a decrease in the box office if they boot Jacob.
Jacob’s worked so hard for this role and earned it. He should get it even if he has to wear platforms.
