CHICAGO – There is no better time to take in a stage play that is based in U.S. history, depicting the battle between fact and religion. The old theater chestnut – first mounted in 1955 – is “Inherit the Wind,” now at the Goodman Theatre, completing it’s short run through October 20th. For tickets and more information, click INHERIT.

Now that we’ve dished out three, full-length HollywoodChicago.com podcasts, it’s time to ask the question: Who’s your favorite HollywoodChicago.com podcast personality? Vote candidly below! These choices are in alphabetical order by last name.
He’s just sooooo
He’s just sooooo cute…reading his reviews makes me want to to see the movie because of his passion. He should be writing in Entertainment Weekly or is he??????? I PLACE MY VOTE FOR HIM:)
Patrick McDonald
Patrick is sensible, sensitive and sexy. What more can one ask of a film critic? Yes, he certainly can write. He also is steeped in the history of this medium and can direct you to the most obscure films ever produced. He’s my Polaris and hero. Now, how’s that for a review of a reviewer?
Pat McDonald
I like Pat McDonald because he writes creatively without wasting any words - like Roger Ebert. However, in his photo, can he be holding a carrot stick instead of a cigarette?
Podcast and vote justification
I just placed my vote for Pat McDonald on the podcast. Frankly, it was touch and go for me for a bit, but when in the most fluid sentence I have heard in quite a while, Mr. McDonald asserted that the Marvel company had the line on the most “socko” new stuff… well, what can you say.
I have always enjoyed Mr. McDonald’s reviews because I could identify with what his reviews said. I can’t wait to read that he thinks that an actor was “groovy” or even “the cat’s meow” sometime soon.
HollywoodChicago.com is socko in my book! GK—
