EARTH” – We owe it all to the TILT =

Rating: 9 of 10 stars.

In this marvelously well-done Disney True Nature film, you learn that the life we enjoy on Earth is thanks to the level of TILT this planet has in relationship to the sun. During the end credits, you see how the filmmakers used a hot air balloon, airplanes, diving gear, hidden blinds and other techniques to shoot their fantastic CLOSE-UP footage from far away in order to get natural images of the often-incredible wildlife. They follow POLAR BEARS, & explain how their lives are becoming increasingly difficult because of the rapidly-melting icecap; you’ll learn how they hibernate during like 5 months of darkness in the Arctic & will see how a desperately hungry male bear tries to attack a herd of walrus. The filmmakers also follow an ELEPHANT herd as they seek water, a family of humpback WHALES (who travel 4000 miles to find food in the Antarctic), and massive flocks of birds (which somehow manage to not crash into each other). There are animals in the desert (which covers 1/3rd of the Earth’s land mass & is expanding), amazing courtship rituals of Birds of Paradise in New Guinea, lions and a cheetah and other creatures in Africa, a Great White shark that leaps completely out of the water, and numerous others in this wonderful documentary.
