News: Chicago Dance Auditions For Cher Film ‘Burlesque’ on Oct. 23, 2010
CHICAGO – We have learned that there will be a dance contest in Chicago on Oct. 23, 2010 in celebration of the upcoming film “Burlesque” starring Cher, Christina Aguilera, Kristen Bell, Stanley Tucci, Alan Cumming and Peter Gallagher. “Burlesque,” which opens on Nov. 24, 2010, also stars Cam Gigandet, Eric Dane, Julianne Hough, Blair Redford, Wendy Benson-Landes, David Walton, Tanee McCall, Katerina Mikailenko and Black Thomas from writer and director Steven Antin.
The Chicago winner will receive $300 and VIP seating at the Chicago advance screening with 10 friends. The Chicago winner’s video will be posted on MTV.com with the winners from other cities and be voted upon to determine the grand-prize winner. The grand-prize winner will receive $5,000 and a chance to be on MTV. Details about the Chicago dance auditions are in the graphic below.

Update on Nov. 5, 2010 at 2:47 p.m.: We have just received word that the Chicago winner for this contest is Britney Hall. She won $300 and VIP seats to the advance screening of the film in Chicago. Britney has moved on to compete against winners in the other cities.
Videos of the routines are now online at http://burlesque.mtv.com. You can cast your vote at http://burlesque.mtv.com for your favorite video once per day. Online voting started on Nov. 3, 2010 and ends ends at 11:59 p.m. PT on Nov. 11, 2010. Voters must be 13 or older to participate.
