CHICAGO – The holiday season officially kicks off on November 1st, 2017, with the early present of “A Bad Moms Christmas.” This sequel to the popular “Bad Moms” of last year is decorated with tinsel and has more badness, much of that generated from the stars of the first film… Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn. Joining these Bad Moms are three iconic actresses portraying their mothers… Christine Baranski, Cheryl Hines and Susan Sarandon. Every major cast member except Baranski came to Chicago last week to promote the film.

What parent hasn’t wondered if they were in some way failing their children in some way by failing to live up to our pinterest levels of perfection?

Disney’s marvelous “Frozen” fits snugly in the lineage of princess stories that the studio has been crafting for decades while also looks forward to empower girls in ways that its predecessors never considered. It is a remarkably fun movie, especially in 3D, alive in ways that so many of its peers in this lackluster year for animation simply are not.

CHICAGO – Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell are an awfully cute couple. Their effortless puppy-dog chemistry is sweet without being cloying and endearing without verging into treacle. Resembling a more stretched-out and irreverent Zach Braff, Shepard makes Bell appear more at ease than she ever has before on film. I can’t imagine a better pairing for a romantic comedy.
