CHICAGONBC announced Monday morning that actor Ben Stiller and actress Anna Faris are slated to host “Saturday Night Live” in October. The announcement also stated that Foster the People would be the musical guest in Stiller’s show, and Drake would perform when Faris hosts.

Stiller was a cast member on “SNL” in 1989 before his career on comedy films took off. This will be the second time that Stiller hosts the comedy sketch show, his first hosting coming in October of 1998 when Alanis Morrisette was the musical guest. The show will be Foster the People’s first performance on “SNL.”

Stiller’s October 8 hosting comes a little less than a month before the release of his new comedy “Tower Heist” (Nov. 4) that co-stars Matthew Broderick, Alan Alda, and, another former “SNL” cast member, Eddie Murphy.

A week later, October 15, actress Anna Faris will hit Studio 8H for the second time. Her first time she hosted was in 2008, when Duffy performed as musical guest. Her hosting coincides with the release of her new film, “What’s Your Number?,” which premieres this coming Friday, September 30. The film also stars Chris Evans, Joel McHale, Andy Samberg, Zachary Quinto, Anthony Mackie, and (Faris’ real-life husband) Chris Pratt.

Season 37 of “SNL” premiered this past Saturday when actor Alec Baldwin hosted for his record-breaking 16th time. He was previously tied at 15 with actor/comedian Steve Martin, who made a cameo during Baldwin’s monologue.
