NEW YORK CITY – Taking a well-deserved one more turn around the block, the legendary Burt Reynolds was at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival representing his new film “Dog Years,” directed by Adam Rifkin, and co-starring Chevy Chase and Ariel Winter. The director and three stars were joined on the Red Carpet by festival co-founder Robert De Niro.

NEW YORK CITY – Wednesday, April 19th, 2017, was the Opening Night for New York City’s preeminent film happening, the Tribeca Film Festival. This is the 16th edition of the ever-expanding fest, and the legendary Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan was the setting for the opening night film, “Clive Davis: The Soundtrack of Our Lives.” Mr. Davis is one of the legendary music men, having run Columbia Records, founded Arista Records, and continuing today as Chief Creative Officer for Sony Music Entertainment.

CHICAGO – And the winner was… a wild and bizarre ending to the 89th Academy Awards, as Best Picture presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway were given a wrong envelope, resulting in a call of “La La Land” as top movie, but after an on-stage melee, it was further revealed that the Best Picture was actually “Moonlight.”

CHICAGO – The photograph of the 2016 movie year is undoubtedbly the iconic shot of Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, caught in mid dance, in the musical “La La Land.” The film received 14 nominations for this Sunday’s Academy Awards ceremony (Feb. 26th), and the “Unit Still Photographer” who got the shot was Dale Robinette.
