She was born Tiffani Amber Thiessen in Long Beach, California, and began her career as a teenager. After being crowned Miss Junior America in 1987, she was named Cover Girl Magazine’s “Model of the Year” in 1989, the same year she began her four season stint on “Saved by the Bell” as Kelly Kapowski. There were spin-offs of the original show (“The College Years” and “Wedding in Las Vegas”), until she graduated to “Beverly Hills 90210” in 1994, where she remained until 1998. She continued to act in TV and movies afterward, including guest roles on the series “Newsradio,” “Just Shoot Me,” and regular roles on “Fastlane” (2002) and “White Collar” (2009). Her films include “The Ladies Man,” Woody Allen’s “Hollywood Ending” and “Cyborg Soldier.”

After ending a five season run on the USA Network series “White Collar,” Thiessen moved onto the Cooking Channel in 2015 with “Dinner at Tiffani’s” – preparing meals for her celebrity friends – and wrote a companion cookbook called “Pull Up a Chair,” released in October of 2018. She currently is in a role on a Netflix teen series, “Alexa & Katie,” this time portraying a Mom.
