CHICAGO – Molly Hewitt is an artist from England who has created a whole world of “Glamhag,” the catch-all term for an inclusive celebration of gender fluidity and performance. Hewitt has a Chicago Premiere as a director (and title character) in the film “Holy Trinity” on September 27th, 2019, at the Music Box Theatre. For info and tickets, click here.

“Holy Trinity” is a festival of Glamhag, as the entire story of the film exists in this universe. Trinity (Hewitt) is a sex worker of the bondage/submissive dominatrix specialty, and this life is turned upside down when she huffs a room deodorant which gives her the power to hear the dead relatives of her clients and friends. As word spreads of this gift, her partner relationship with Baby (Theo Germaine) begins to suffer, and the consequences of Trinity’s Catholic past comes back to haunt her. The movie is filled with colorful characters and fellow travelers, and is an outrageously modern commentary on Glamhag gender, religion and celebrity.

In the following Podtalk, Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com talks with Molly Hewitt about the themes, religiosity and universe of “Holy Trinity.”

”Holy Trinity” has its Chicago premiere on Friday, September 27th, 2019, at the Music Box Theatre, 3733 North Southport Avenue, Chicago. Featuring Molly Hewitt, Theo Germane, Heather Lynn and Imp Queen. Written and directed by Molly Hewitt. Not Rated.
