Rating: 3.0/5.0

“The Purge” is an event in a series of films, produced by the horror film company Blumhouse Productions, that depict a once-a-year night in which law is suspended and murder is legal. Another characteristic of The Purge films is that they symbolically contain the hot topics of America, and this one is about immigration and Trumpism. “The Forever Purge” refers to a war that starts in America to eliminate the “other,” in which those committing genocide declare The Purge to be forever.

“The Forever Purge” opens in theaters on July 2nd. Featuring Ana de la Reguera, Josh Lucas, Cassidy Freeman, Veronica Falcón and Will Patton. Written by James DeMonaco. Directed by Everardo Gout. Rated “R”
