Reeves also goes a bit meta as Thomas Anderson, an award winning video game developer of “The Matrix,” before he’s pulled into his old stomping grounds to meet up with old and new foes.

“The Matrix Resurrections” opens in theaters on December 22nd. Featuring Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Christina Ricci, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jada Pinkett Smith and Neal Patrick Harris. Written by Lana Wachowski, David Mitchell and Aleksander Hemon. Directed by Lana Wachowski. Rated “R”
