The power couple is an endlessly fascinating story, given Lucille Ball’s roots in Depression poverty and Desi Arnaz as an expatriate from Cuba. They met improbably as B-level Hollywood actors, falling in true love and then building an entertainment empire, called Desilu, all based on the groundbreaking “I Love Lucy” TV series … they even eventually bought the same studio lot (RKO) they used to work at. Comic actor Amy Poehler, in her director debut, explores some unexpected paths along the way for the famous couple.

“Lucy and Desi” is streaming on Amazon Prime Video starting March 4th. Written by Mark Monroe. Directed by Amy Poehler. Rated “PG” “The Batman” is in theaters on March 4th. Rated “PG-13”
