Comic actor Slate is the voice of Marcel, a Shell that lives in an abandoned home – a couple has left it pending divorce – who tells his story to a documentary filmmaker (Dean Fleischer-Camp, a co-creator), and Marcel’s musings become viral videos (mirroring real life). The premise is his family has been swept away, leaving only his Granny Connie (Isabella Rossellini) and his burgeoning fame. As Granny starts to get ill, only Lesley Stahl from 60 MINUTES can save them.

”Marcel the Shell with Shoes On” opens in select theaters July 1st, see local listings. Featuring the voices of Jenny Slate and Isabella Rossellini, as well as Dean Fleischer-Camp and Lesley Stahl. Screenplay by Dean Fleischer-Camp. Directed by Dean Fleischer-Camp. Rated “PG
