Film News: Chicago’s Black Harvest Film Fest Opens Nov. 4th, 2022, with ‘Black Harvest Feast’

CHICAGO – One of the longest running and most important Black film festivals is right here in Chicago, as the 28th edition of the Black Harvest Film Festival has Opening Night on Friday, November 4th, and runs in-person until November 20th at the Gene Siskel Film Center in the downtown Loop. The Opening Night festivities include four short films (the Black Harvest “Feast”), the presentation of the Legacy Award to Chicago casting director Sharon King and a post screening reception. Hosting the Opening Night ceremonies is LeAnn Trotter of Chicago’s NBC5.

The Black Harvest Film Festival supports the Gene Siskel Film Center’s ongoing mission to present inclusive and insightful programming.
