CHICAGO – Spring is busting out all over for film festivals, and upcoming is the Wisconsin Film Festival, taking place within the environs of the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison, Wisconsin, from April 13th-20th, 2023, The popular fest is celebrating 25 years, and features a mix of current festival films, local filmmakers, International films and special presentations of cinema history. Since 1999, the Wisconsin Film Festival (WiFF) has curated, promoted, and exhibited programs showcasing the art and the history of world cinema. Currently presented under the auspices of the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Department of Communication Arts, the Festival is one of the largest campus-based film festivals in United States, supporting UW’s teaching, research, and public service mission by exposing the campus and the greater Madison community to films and filmmakers from Wisconsin and beyond.

Representing the WiFF is consulting programmer Jim Healy, who is also Director of Programming at UW Cinematheque. He has formerly worked as an Assistant Curator at the George Eastman Museum in Rochester, New York, and was a film programmer for the Chicago International Film Festival.
