CHICAGO – Often on my weekly appearances on WGBR-FM (Monroe, Wisconsin), there is a topic associated with that week’s reviews. I don’t usually publish them, but the result of May the 4th was special. Host Dan Baker and I did a ranking of our favorite superhero movies on “Guardians 3” release day, and the talk was lively and surprising.

Dan Baker was hosting the “Morning Mess” on that Thursday, and after I reviewed “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” we took on the topic of our Top Three Superhero Movies of All Time. Now this is a daunting subject given the last ten years or so, but on my end I broke it up through childhood, young adulthood and role of film critic. Baker took on just his impressions, and came up with some surprising picks. This is by far an unofficial and casual list, yet it’s also an exploration on how the Superhero Genre has affected us through nearly two generations. Watch below.
