CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com audio film review for “Bob Marley One Love,” the music biopic of the famous Jamaican reggae legend during his most fertile international fame period in the 1970s up until his early demise from cancer in 1981. In theaters on February 14th.

HollywoodChicago.com Oscarman rating: 4.0/5.0
Rating: 4.0/5.0

The legendary Jamaican is portrayed by Kingsley Ben-Adir, as Marley is shown at the story’s beginning in 1976, at the point right before one of his biggest political concerts. The film then follows his life thereafter through the downfalls of fame, his most fertile chart topping period and his eventual early death at age 36, while showing flashbacks to other points of his life … expanding on his Rastafarian ONE LOVE philosophy and the flaws in his all-to-human nature.

“Bob Marley One Love” is in theaters on February 14th. Featuring Kingsley Ben-Adir, Lashana Lynch, James Norton Tosin Cole and Umi Myers. Screenplay by Renaldo Marcus Green, Terence Winter, Frank E. Flowers and Zach Baylin. Directed by Ranaldo Marcus Green. Rated “PG-13”
