Two of the greatest names (and later brands) in fashion … Christian Dior (Ben Mendelsohn) and Coco Chanel (Juliette Binoche) … were stuck in Paris when the Nazis invaded and occupied the city during World War II. Dior’s sister Catherine (Maisie Williams) was part of the French resistance, so Christian is involved with her espionage. Meanwhile Coco is being feted by the Nazis, and in the volatile environment is reluctant to say no to them. Going forward in the 20th Century, the actions of Dior and Chanel will have implications for their careers as designers of high fashion. As of February 21st, the first four episodes (of ten) are available to stream.
