This is an origin story, as Orion Pax (voice of Chris Hemsworth) and his buddy D-16 (Brian Tyree Henry) both toil in the energy mines of planet Cybertron, trying to keep up with demand for power. They are ruled by the overlord Sentinel Prime (Jon Hamm), who separates the worker drones from the elites through their ability to transform. Pax decides to enter an elite race, the consequences of which send him on a journey with D-16, his mining boss Elita-1 (Scarlett Johansson) and a wacky miner friend named B-127 (Keegan-Michael Key). They are all about to transform into the bold face names we all know.
