On-Air Film Review: Bittersweet Love Story in ‘We Live in Time’

The story involves Tobias (Andrew Garfield), who is just about to sign his divorce papers when has a meet-cute with Almut (Florence Pugh) as she runs him over with her car. Almut is a high level chef who invites Tobias to her restaurant. There is chemistry between them, but with the Tobias fresh divorce and desire to have children, the relationship might not get off the ground. After apologies and an understanding to take it slower, the resultant love affair becomes a hot connection. Events takes a turn when Almut is diagnosed with Ovarian cancer … so during a remission they conceive a child. The remission unfortunately doesn’t hold, and new decisions must be made.
