Submitted by BrianTT on July 18, 2013 - 7:38amCHICAGO – While there were a few nice surprises (Vera Farmiga! Laura Dern!), the 2013 Emmy nominations were a largely predictable bunch, including most of the nominees from last year, including “Breaking Bad,” “Homeland,” “Downton Abbey,” “Mad Men,” “Modern Family,” and many more.

TV Review: Will Arnett, Keri Russell Star in Disappointing ‘Running Wilde’
Submitted by BrianTT on September 21, 2010 - 10:51amCHICAGO – I love Will Arnett, Keri Russell, David Cross, and Mitchell Hurwitz. And yet, I don’t love “Running Wilde.” If you need any proof that quality television takes something more intangible than just getting talented people together, look no further than this sporadically-entertaining FOX sitcom, a show with more-than-enough talent to get over the common growing pains of the first few episodes of a sitcom if the ratings are strong enough to give it time to do so but is undeniably disappointing at the start.
TV Review: Think Carefully Before Enrolling in ‘Community’
Submitted by BrianTT on September 17, 2009 - 9:48amCHICAGO – The deadpan wit of Joel McHale works brilliantly on “The Soup” and he delivers excellent work in the “The Informant!,” but there’s something about it that doesn’t translate to sitcom television.
TV Review: Jason Bateman, Will Arnett Reunite For ‘Sit Down, Shut Up’

CHICAGO – Will another animated show on Sunday nights be a perfect fit for “The Simpsons” and “Family Guy” fans or will those beloved shows have set too high a bar to jump over for another cartoon to compete? People love their Homer and Stewie. Will they fall for the teachers of Knob Haven on “Sit Down, Shut Up”? Despite the incredible talent involved, I highly doubt it.
