Beauty and the Beast 3D

CHICAGO – In a battle between action/thriller and Disney/animation, Mark Wahlberg’s new film “Contraband” came out on top. Battling all weekend against the 3D re-release of “Beauty and the Beast 3D,” “Contraband” was able to come in at number one after earning an estimated $24.1 million in its first weekend in theaters.

CHICAGO – It is a tale as old as time, and a film almost as old as I am. After the success that Disney had bringing “The Lion King” back to theaters this past September, it is no surprise that they have decided to bring four more films back to the theaters, starting with the classic tale “Beauty and the Beast,” which was first released in November of 1991.

CHICAGO – After two weeks at the top of the box office, “Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol” has finally been dethroned. The new horror movie about demonic possession “The Devil Inside” dominated the weekend box office with an estimated $34.5 million, $14 million more than “Ghost Protocol,” which came in at number two.

CHICAGO – The newest trailer of a tale as old as time has been released inviting you to see one of Disney’s most classic films on the big screen again…and this time in 3D. “Beauty and the Beast 3D,” a remastered version of the classic film brought to you in three dimensions, will release to theaters everywhere on Jan. 13, 2012.
