Chicago Latino Film Festival

CHICAGO – The 32nd edition of the Chicago Latino Film Festival Kicks Off on Friday, April 8, 2016, with the Mexican film “Illusions S.A.” (“Illusiones S.A.”). All films are at the AMC River East 21 in Chicago.

CHICAGO – The film festival circuit is not for the faint of heart. Two young Spanish filmmakers – Geoffrey Cowper and Jesús Lloveras – are making their way across the U.S., as they promote their film “Day Release” (Tercer Grado). The pair started out in California – with a couple of film festivals there – and then stopped in Chicago, for the 31st Chicago Latino Film Festival.

CHICAGO – The 31st edition of the Chicago Latino Film Festival Kicks Off on Thursday, April 9, 2015, with the Venezuelan/Spanish film “The Liberator” (“Libertador”). All films are at the AMC River East 21 in Chicago.

CHICAGO – April 17th, 2014 is closing night for the 30th Chicago Latino Film Festival. The CLFF is celebrating its 30th year, making it one of the oldest festivals of its kind in the United States. The closing film is ‘I Am From Chile,” which is followed by the presentation of the Gloria Achievement Award to actress Paulina Garcia.

CHICAGO – The 29th Annual Chicago Latino Film Festival (CLFF) unreels its final five days with a comprehensive line-up of films at the AMC-Loews Theatres at 600 N. Michigan in Chicago, through Thursday, April 25th. The Closing Night Gala: Tribute to Brazil will take place on Wednesday, April 24th with the Sci-Fi Film, “Man From the Future,” (O Homem Do Futuro), and a reception that follows afterward.

CHICAGO – The 29th Annual Chicago Latino Film Festival (CLFF) kicked off last week with the premiere of Rafa Lara’s “Cinco de Mayo: La Batalla” on April 11th, 2013, and exhibited its first weekend of films, all at the AMC-Loews Theatres at 600 N. Michigan in Chicago. The festival runs through Wednesday, April 25th, and many film and special appearances are scheduled for Week One.

CHICAGO – Last Thursday, January 17th, the 2013 Latino Film Festival kicked off its event activities by revealing their official poster. The poster was designed by Jori Cicale, a local graphic art student, and was selected from over 150 designs submitted. The 29th Chicago Latino film festival will take place from April 11th-25th.

CHICAGO – Just two weeks after the European Union Film Festival concluded at the Gene Siskel Film Center, another excellent international showcase of world cinema began in the Windy City. The 26th Chicago Latino Film Festival screens over 120 films during its two-week run, highlighting Latino filmmakers and cultures from Latin America, Portugal, Spain and the United States.
