Film Review: Emotional Destiny Versus Science Debate in ‘I Origins’
Submitted by PatrickMcD on July 25, 2014 - 3:33pmCHICAGO – In the current debate between metaphysical spirituality or intelligent design versus scientific and provable fact, there are demands regarding the religious or metaphysics that do not relate to those facts. Blu-ray Review: Spectacular HD Box Set For First Season of ‘Boardwalk Empire’
Submitted by BrianTT on January 18, 2012 - 7:56pmCHICAGO – HBO long led the way when it came to TV on DVD releases, but they were never much for special features. I think the idea was that their programming spoke for itself. “It’s not TV, it’s HBO.” So why should they do what their competition does when it comes to deleted scenes, commentaries, etc.? With Surreal Madness, Strange Boys Play ‘Funny Games’
Submitted by HollywoodChicago.com on March 15, 2008 - 6:57pmCHICAGO – Imagine a film with no redeeming or uplifting emotional qualities with evil that tortures the soul, squirm-inducing narrative elements and a relentless anxiety that practically has us – like the characters in the film – screaming for mercy. Imagine also that this film is excellent.
