Film Feature: Highlights of the 2013 Chicago Critics Film Festival

CHICAGO – The first annual Chicago Critics Film Festival, presented by the Chicago Film Critics Association and dedicated to Roger Ebert, will take place this weekend, April 12-14, 2013 at the Muvico Rosemont 18. With over 20 films programmed, this will be your first chance to see many of the biggest films of the year, and some of these films may never play again in Chicago.

Film News: William Friedkin, Sarah Polley to Attend 1st Chicago Critics Film Festival

CHICAGO – The 1st Annual Chicago Critics Film Festival, hosted by the Muvico Rosemont 18 and spearheaded by the Chicago Film Critics Association, was announced today and will take place on April 12-14, 2013. Highlights include a presentation of Sarah Polley’s “Stories We Tell” with the director in attendance, the Chicago premiere of Sundance fave “The Spectacular Now” with Shailene Woodley, and an appearance by William Friedkin, who will introduce a presentation of one of his classic films.

CHICAGO – “To those dark horses with the spirit to look up and see, a recondite family awaits.” While the Sundance Film Festival goes on all through Park City, a select group of truly independent films is unspooling up on Main Street under the banner of Slamdance.
