Blu-ray Review: Remarkable Vision of H.G. Wells’ ‘Things to Come’
Submitted by BrianTT on July 2, 2013 - 1:29pmCHICAGO – 1936’s “Things to Come” was a landmark of science fiction design. While the film itself may bear a few too many marks of its era to truly satisfy modern fans, it is a must-see simply for the stunning fact that it was produced almost 80 years ago. The visuals here are breathtaking, unlike anything else from the period. And it makes perfect sense that such an essential film would be included in the most essential Blu-ray collection in history, Criterion.
