CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com audio film review on The Beatles “Get Back” Part Two, a three-part documentary series directed by Peter Jackson (Lord of the Rings series) and premiering on the Disney+ streaming service on November 26th, 2021.

PART TWO of “Get Back” can be characterized as REDEMPTION. As documentary cameras continue to roll, a compromise is reached with an upset and missing George Harrison when the boys move back to London’s EMI Studios to rehearse and record, in effect abandoning their cavernous film studio and live performance for broadcast. Session keyboard player Billy Preston steps in to fill out the sound in the developing songs, and the planned album is at least back on track.
