Rating: 4.5/5.0 |
CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com appears on “The Morning Mess” with Scott Thompson on WBGR-FM (Monroe, Wisconsin) on April 10th, 2024, reviewing “Civil War,” a new film by writer/director Alex Garland (“28 Days Later,” “Ex Machina”). In theaters on April 12th.
Patel portrays Kat, a mysterious man who wrestles in the underground pits of Yatana (a fictional Mumbai). His wrestling character is based on the Hindu god Hanuman, a half monkey/half man protector. His weird persona is not without a plan, as he uses his underground contacts to infiltrate the VIP room in a private club, where he seeks revenge on the corrupt lawman who aided a religious leader in a takeover of his childhood home, brutally killing his mother. Kat continues to train as the Monkey Man to exact a specific revenge.
