Video Game Review: Disappointing ‘Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands’
Submitted by BrianTT on June 6, 2010 - 9:15pmCHICAGO – One might assume that the disappointing Jake Gyllenhaal summer action flick “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time” would have a movie tie-in game that’s equally frustrating but Ubisoft’s “Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands” is actually unrelated to the film other than being a part of the franchise that inspired it. No, you won’t be able to play Alfred Molina’s ostrich races, although you may wish you could.

TV Review: Don’t Miss Unique ‘The Neistat Brothers’
Submitted by BrianTT on June 4, 2010 - 11:02amCHICAGO – The great thing about HBO’s unique new series “The Neistat Brothers” is that its about a pair of talented filmmakers who recognize that making movies can and should be as much about community as they are creativity. Rarely has the power of film to bring people together been more subtly and interestingly represented than in this home video series about two men who have chronicled their lives to the point that they have turned it into an art.
Russell Brand, Jonah Hill Rock in Very Funny ‘Get Him to the Greek’
Submitted by BrianTT on June 4, 2010 - 10:35amRating: 3.5/5.0 |
CHICAGO – Taking a character who was created as an obnoxious supporting one and giving him his own spin-off movie sounds like a recipe for disaster. There were just too many screenwriting pitfalls in which the film could have and should have fallen in.
