The Scooty & JoJo Show premiered “Alien Queen: A Sci-Fi Rock Par Odyssey” in Dec. 2010 and Jan. 2011 at Chicago’s Circuit Nightclub. The show garnered incredible critical praise and packed houses. Created and staged by Scott Bradley, “Alien Queen: The Concert” transforms the original material into a fully staged rock show that first appeared at Chicago’s legendary Metro rock club in May 2011. The show has set record numbers for The Scooty & JoJo Show ever since.
Acclaimed performer Ryan Lanning returns as the Sigourney Weaver-inspired lead singer Ridley while Scooty (creator Scott Bradley) continues his assault as the Alien Queen. “Alien Queen: The Concert” features new musical arrangements by bandleader Nicholas Davio as well as the ingenious aliens designed by Jabberwocky Marionettes, choreography of Jyl Fehrenkamp and costuming by Anna Glowacki.

ALIENS MEET THE THUGS
I’d have a space ship fly past and drop some heavily intoxicated aliens in a gang infested neighborhood. Then have the gang surround them. Then I’d have a mother ship fly and stop overhead and put the strong beam on the entire scene. Then one of the aliens says to the leader. ” Don’t start none, won’t be none. Now do you want to party?” The let the meaning drumline come and take over.

The music in combination with the vocal delivery creates a strange fusion of old time folksiness with post-millennial production and sound.
